Below are some creative ways you can help animals and make a difference - from hosting a "bow wow birthday party" to sponsoring an ad in a local newspaper. We appreciate your generosity and commitment to give abused, abandoned, and neglected animals a second chance. Every contribution is appreciated and vital to the lifesaving work of the Ontario SPCA Huron County Branch.

COLLECT ZEHRS GROCERY TAPES	Collect your Zehrs Grocery Tapes and bring them into the shelter. This corporation makes substantial donations for the thousands of Zehrs Tapes that are submitted.

SPONSOR AN AD IN A LOCAL NEWSPAPER	For only $25 you can choose an animal to feature in a local newspaper in Huron County. We will happily take a photo of you and the shelter animal of your choice. This provides a great opportunity for an animal to get adopted.

KIDS CAN HELP TOO	There are many ways that school age children - and their parents - can help the animals. Here are some creative ideas for our young supporters! Meow Meow or Bow Wow Birthday Party On your next birthday have your friends bring a "pet present" to the party and make a shelter animal's day! School Wish List Drive Ask your teacher if you can organize a classroom or school drive to benefit the Ontario SPCA Huron County Branch. Place a big decorated box in the room to fill with items for the shelter. With the help of your teacher, you can help explain to your classmates the need for the drive and your goal to help shelter animals. School Project Write a report or do a speech on the Ontario SPCA Huron County Branch. This is a wonderful way to teach your friends about the important work done at the shelter. Print off photos of the animals from our website or visit the shelter with a parent and take pictures of the shelter and animals that are awaiting new homes. "For the Animals" Kids Carnival Organize a kids carnival to benefit shelter animals. Invite all your friends and neighbours and entertain with games, crafts, relay sports and a junk animal sculpture contest. Gain donations by selling drinks or snacks or ask for a small donation as an entrance fee! Garage Sale Snacks Your children can help the animals by selling lemonade or popcorn during a garage sale or other activity and donating the proceeds to the Ontario SPCA Huron County Branch.
